Friday Apr 30, 2021
Friday Apr 30, 2021
Episode 10 is with Scotland coach Gary Edwards.
The title is a bit tongue in cheek and I am sure Gary will not mind me using it ... in the discussion, we discuss the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and I asked if Scotland were worried about England and he answered no ... why? Well, you will need to listen to the podcast to find out.
It was a great conversation about the development of players and coaches covering quite a vast subject area!
I'm sure you guys will love it.
In the podcast, I mentioned I had a new blog out on how to improve your nage-komi - check it out here.
Also DISE information for England only.

In this episode, I talk with Olympic, World & European medal-winning coach Luke Preston more excitingly Luke is my coach.
It was a great privilege to have Luke on and I would say this is possibly my favourite episode so far!
We discuss running a full-time centre, coaching at Olympic games and sacrifices an elite coach has to make to help athletes reach their potential.
My favourite quote from the episode is "The players that are really good or even great, make you, force you to become a better coach."
I hope you enjoy the podcast - let me know who you would like to interview next ... vince@vinceskillcorn.co.uk

In this episode, I talk to Jo Crowley ... now as Jo is a great writer I asked her if she would write a bio for herself and here it is: "Forty-four-year old keeper of 4 young humans and a bearded dragon, Jo Crowley, is a well-known coach on the British and European judo scene, personal coach to double world medallist Nekoda Davis and head coach of Ealing Judo Club in London. With a background in theatre and education, Jo has a varied and unusual background with which to find herself now enjoying work with the IJF's media team." ...
She then added "and spent her formative coaching years coaching a variety of players against me in competition ... which was fun!" - Thanks Jo!
